Specialized Events

Having attended various events with our focus being on education, we have a few school aged volunteer docents that have earned high school credits towards graduation by attending and being involved in these events.   All of our docents are schooled to answer the public’s questions and give information regarding all aspects of the artifacts that we present in the Museum or at a special event. Sometimes being dressed in authentic period uniforms,  they have also been trained to give firing demonstrations, if requested, on each of the Artillery pieces with an accompanying narrative history lecture.

An invitation was received from Governor Grey Davis to attend the California Admissions Day Celebration 2000. (This event was located on the state capitol grounds in Sacramento.   Which included giving a firing salute as the grand finale over the Sacramento River). We displayed an entire encampment with supporting Artillery of the period.

Invited to attend the 2002 Harvest Festival which supports the Center for Individual Development (C.I.D.), a recreational center for people with disabilities.

Special Invitation from the Boy Scouts of America,  California Inland Empire Council to attend their 2003 Boy and Girl Scout Encampment and their 2004 Sheriff's Stampede.  At the Sheriff's Stampede one of our displays was our Army Escort Wagon with Saddler and Farrier equipment shown in photo.

In support of Veterans we exhibited our recently restored WWII WC21 Weapons Carrier in the Salute to Veterans Parade and at the Flabob Air Field Veterans Show located in Riverside CA, 2010.
